HalfWits is over, looking ahead to SRRC events the rest of 2017…

Thanks again to everyone for coming out to the fun run and breakfast party! There were over 60 HalfWits & volunteers celebrating. We hope that you’re recovering well from the race. Remember that HalfWits is just the *beginning* of training each year. There are many ways to stay involved with club activities, whether it’s running or volunteering at SRRC races, participating in the various group runs, or attending social events. We’ve already mentioned the Boston Marathon documentary tomorrow night at the Legacy Theatre, and the Derby de Mayo is coming up on Saturday, May 6th. This page will likely have no further updates until late December of 2017, so make sure you stay connected via any of the links below.

We’ve enjoyed another year of leading this group and hope you enjoyed it as well. As always, we welcome feedback and suggestions for how we can improve the HalfWits experience. Feel free to send a message via fb, e-mail, or talk to us at any SRRC event. A special thanks to whoever dropped the brown paper envelope “comment” card in the suggestion box yesterday! =) -xoxo Kristina & Stephen

In the meantime, keep your eyes on the club’s website for updates on events and programs.

You can also join in on the conversation about weekly runs and other things on the SRRC Members Group on fb:

Susan Becker is leading the Speed Work group, which is starting this Wednesday, April 19th 5:45pm. You can see her workout plans and updates on the club’s training site:

And if you don’t already know, Abe’s Army will be starting in May. You can choose to be a participant and train with a small group of runners of similar abilities, or volunteer your time as a group leader to help others achieve the goal of running the Abe’s Amble 10k race in August. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Joining Abe’s Army is a great way to participate in weekly group runs, to meet fellow SRRC members, and to get more involved in the club.
